Kingsport Visit

We spent the weekend in Kingsport visiting Jay's family. We had a great time and the weather was unbelievable. Almost every night we actually got a little cool sitting outside! I loved it. As soon as we stepped off the plane last night into Orlando, however, it was back to breathtaking humidity. While in Kingport the kids got some much needed quality time with family. We also got to meet Jeremy and Mary Glen's little boy, Will, for the first time. He is so adorable! I had to include a picture of him! Probably the highlight of Elle's trip was getting to go to Grandaddy's house and play with his horse, Princess. As always she lit up at the sight of Princess, and wanted to stay all day. Princess was a great sport about letting Elle watcher her eat, pet her, and sit on her for a while. Here are just a few of many pics of our great weekend in Tennessee.

Easton Update

I haven't posted pictures of Easton in a while, and you won't believe how big he has gotten! We got to see him recently for a brief visit and couldn't believe how much he had grown! He's six months old now. He adores Elle and thinks Brooks is OK...as long as he isn't hitting or sitting on him! We can't wait to spend a week at the beach with him in August!

Happy Belated 4th of July!

I realize that this was almost a week ago, but better late than never! Jay had to work, but the kids and I spent the morning swimming with friends. Later that evening, Jay and Elle walked down to watch the Winter Garden Fireworks and enjoyed that. Brooks was too worn out, and just couldn't stay up for the fireworks this year!

Happy Birthday Emma

Elle's good friend Emma turned 4 today! We celebrated at a lakefront park in St.Cloud with her family and friends. The kids had a ball and did NOT want to leave. Just thought I'd share a few pictures. Brooks loves the beach and water! Our vacation this year will be so much fun with him....a nice change from the crawling in and eating of the sand last year!

The Boys

Just a cute pic of the boys! We were on our way out the door to go to a birthday party (see next group of pics) and Brooks grabbed a hat so he could look like Daddy!

Date Night with Elle

Jay and I decided to take Elle out for a night without baby brother. She loved the individual attention! We went to see Ratatouille (which is very cute, by the way)at Universal and then walked over to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner. It was a great night out for all of us....well, except Brooks. He has always done great with babysitters, but it occurred to me last night that he has done so well because Elle always stays with him! He did not like being left, but it didn't take him long to realize he had some individual attention too, and had a great time with the babysitter.

Kids Pictures

Well, I've been meaning to get the kids pictures made together now for oh....a year and a half! The last time I took them into a studio to get a picture made Brooks was 2 weeks old! I know, I'm falling down on my job! So, last night I took them to get some made and thought I'd share a sneak peek. The quality of these is terrible, becaue it's a picture of a picture. But, I don't have a scanner so this will have to do! For you grandparents who are reading this and wondering if you're getting one...YES! I have copies for all of you!

Fun in the Sun

We're always looking for ways to beat the Florida heat, so this week we bought the kids (by that I mean Elle, Brooks, and Jay) a slip 'n slide. After the kids started to get bored, Jay decided to take it up a notch and put it at the end of the playground slide to help propel them. Well, it worked! A little too much with Brooks...he went flying every time, but didn't seem to mind. Looks like we have a new favorite toy!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, and fathers-to-be! Here are a few pictures of our favorite Dads. They all have one thing in common.....Elle and Brooks have them wrapped around their little fingers! We love you Dad, Grandad, and Pops!

Dance Recital

The much anticipated dance recital was last night! Elle was adorable (if I do say so myself), and her class did a fabulous job! How a teacher can get a group of 3 and 4 year old girls together, teach them a dance, and get them on stage in front of a huge audience and actually perform is amazing to me! I have no idea how to, or I would try to put a video clip on here for you to see (any suggestions, Derrall?). Brooks wasn't invited this year, so we all got to enjoy the show! Elle was especially excited that Granny (Jay's mom, Arlene) was in attendance. She was able to come in from Tennessee for the weekend!
