Swimming Lessons

Because we have found that Brooks can take a running leap into the pool, sink, and come up laughing....we decided that it was time we started swimming lessons!! Here are a couple of pictures from his first week! He's doing great and we'll all have a better summer knowing he can swim! By the way...the red speedo-like swim diaper is a requirement of the school, not his new summer style!

Fun in the Fountain

Celebration (Disney's Residential Neighborhood) has a great waterfront park with a fountain that the kids love to play in. The kids and I spent the morning there and had a great time. This was the first time going that both kids equally enjoyed it and played well together. They are really starting to enjoy each other's company (sometimes)! Some of Elle's friends were there as well. When Brooks wasn't playing with them, he was entertaining himself by swordfighting the fountain with a stick that he found. Boys!

Memorial Day

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day. We spent the day at a friend's house. The kids and I headed over mid afternoon and Jay joined us when he got off of work in time for dinner and fireworks. Elle did not get out of the pool except to eat! She was exhausted! Brooks was all over the place...swimming, eating, playing, and enjoying the hot tub! It was a fun afternoon!

Claire and Brian's Visit

Jay's sister, Claire, and her husband Brian come to visit this weekend and we had a great time! Elle and Brooks just adore their Aunt Claire and Uncle Brian. The highlight of the weekend may have been thier trip to Universal. Brooks and I stayed behind, but the rest of the gang had a blast. Here are a few pics of their exciting day!

Elle's Water Day

Brooks had Water Day at school a couple of weeks ago, and today was Elle's turn! They had a great time playing, drinking lemonade, and eating watermelon. Brooks' class walked by while we were outside with Elle's and he saw me before I could hide. He so wanted to join us, but had to go back to class!

Picture Day at Dance

Today was picture day and dress rehearsal for Elle's Dance class. They are supposed to be "Engineers" and are dancing to a Choo-Choo song. Their teacher is smart, though, and knows the best way to make a group of 3 and 4 year old girls happy is to put them in PINK! They looked so cute. The recital is still two weeks away, but here is a glimpse of what's to come!

Birthday Girl

Well, the birthday party was a success! We are all exhausted, but had a great time! We surprised Elle by having two ponies come to the house during the party. She had no idea, and was thrilled when they arrived! They all had so much fun riding them around the back yard. It was so cute! Happy Birthday Elle!

I tried to post this yesterday, but the computer gave me some trouble, so here it is! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELLE! She had a wonderful day yesterday. She wore her "birthday girl" shirt to school and ran around telling everyone she was 4! They celebrated at snack time with cookies that we sent. She was in heaven! From there we went to pick CaKi and Pops up from the airport and she continued to be spoiled for the rest of the evening receiving a new bike from them, and a wonderful play kitchen set from our Kingsport family. Today I had to spoil the fun a little by taking her for her 4 year exam at the doctor. She got a couple of shots, but handled it pretty well (for a drama queen!). Tomorrow is the big birthday party!! Elle picked a "horse" theme (what else?). We'll have lots of pictures to share soon, so stay tuned!

Lunchtime

As I was feeding Elle and Brooks lunch today I glanced outside and noticed that our ever growing green neighbor was also enjoying some lunch! I know you all probably don't want to see this, but I'm fascinated! It's a little blurry from zooming in, but you get the picture! YUCK!

Water Day

After dropping Elle off at school, it was off to "Water Day" with Brooks' class. I stuck around for the morning to help out, and the kids had a blast. Since he's in the youngest class, they played first before all of the big kids joined. They had set up water tables, balls, and sprinklers for them to play in outside. They had a lot of fun and took great naps that afternoon!

Pajama Day

Today was Pajama Day at Elle's school. I snapped a quick picture of her with her friends Zachary and Jack when I dropped her off this morning. They had a fun day!
